intuitek is David's third technology startup which includes Syrinex Communications Corporation, a manufacturer of Internet solutions for small businesses, where he served as President and Chief Executive Officer. The list also includes Voice Technologies Group (VTG), now a division of Intel, where he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. VTG, recognized on the 1995 INC 500 list of fastest growing private companies was a leading provider of computer telephony integration technology.
David has held executive management positions with Algonquin Studios as Senior Vice President of Emerging Ventures, Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Operations for Cyberfone, and managing partner of Compass Ventures.
He has worked in the computer and telecommunications industries for 20 years with engineering and management accomplishments that include managing a strategic relationship with Intel resulting in an investment partnership and later an acquisition of VTG which now operates as a division of Intel's Dialogic subsidiary. He has established strategic relationships with leading technology companies including Microsoft, Compaq, NEC, Analog Devices, Texas Instruments, Toshiba, Infineon and Lucent. He has managed the successful strategy, development and launch of major product lines including VoiceBridge PBX integrations, Contact embedded voicemail systems, computer telephony integration boards, NexServer internet thin-servers, and intuiTag RFID solutions. He is a US patent holder and was involved in the early development of industry standards including the Microsoft Windows Telephony API (TAPI), Universal Serial Bus (USB), SCSA and MVIP telephony buses.
An active member of his community, David was recognized on the 1999 Business First 40 Under 40 list of emerging leaders. He was a founding member and served as the first Chairman of infoTech Niagara, a trade association for information technology companies in the Buffalo Niagara region. He served as the Chairman of the City of Buffalo Mayor's Information Technology Advisory Council. Chaired the Technology and Information Task Force for the University at Buffalo State of the Region Project, was a charter member of the Entrepreneurial Services Network, and served as a charter board member of the Atlantic Corridor, a trade alliance between Western New York and Ireland.
